WARRANTY
The construction and installation of your shutters and louver doors are warranted to you, the original purchaser, and also fully transferable to the next owner of your home when you move, as follows:
A limited lifetime warranty on installation, workmanship and labor (when installed by Shutters and More, Inc.), and a full ten (10) year warranty on all structural components which includes all moving parts, staples and louver tension. All paint finishes carry a ten (10) year warranty, (except for re-finishing which carries no warranty) and two (2) years on all stains. Additionally there is a lifetime warranty against bleeding.
The warranty period commences the day the shutters are installed. If a valid claim is made within the first 90 days of the warranty period, Shutters and More, Inc. guarantees to replace or repair any part proving defective in material and workmanship. Any claim that is not covered by the warranty will be subject to a service/trip charge as well as any additional repair or replacement costs. This warranty does not apply to any commercial or industrial application, nor any defect caused by negligence, accident, alteration, machining or installation by others, misuse such as abusive treatment, infestation of termites or acts of God. The warranty will be void if misuse, misapplication, failure to follow use care or exposure to water, steam, cleaners, furniture waxes, oils, salts, abrasives or any other damaging substance occurs. Because our shutters are constructed using kiln-dried basswood, they will maintain their original pristine state if kept dry. However, if exposed water from showers, sinks, open windows, etc., the paint seal will break down causing swelling, cracking joints and discoloration. Such exposure voids our structural and finish warranties. Shutters and More, Inc. reserves the right to make changes and improvements in their product without any obligation to similarly alter products previously manufactured.
Lumber is not selected for grain matching and buyer accepts that variations may occur within each panel and frame. Because of natural irregularities in wood, as well as dye lot differences in paints and stains, Shutters and More, Inc. is not responsible for slight variations in finish color.
This warranty is the only warranty offered and is in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities and warranties. No salesperson or any representative has the authority to modify this warranty in any way, either verbally or in writing.
